My name is Matéo Costille, I am a French junior video game programmer and designer looking for work. My favorite engine to work with is Unreal Engine 5 but I do some Unity too, and I have a broad overview of different type of design for game (gameplay design, level design, narrative design). As i have started my GameDev journey very recently I have mainly GameJam's and academic projects available on my page, but I intend to slowly expand the list of game I made to grind programmer XP and get better.

- A bit more bout me -

Since I was 14 I started playing video game intensively, mainly dabbling in MOBAs, strategy games like the Total War series and action game like For Honor or any soulslike. Before finishing high school I already knew that I wanted to create something for a living, and more specifically something related to my experience with gaming, which is why i did 3 internship with a Blacksmith to create swords and knives.

Once high school was finished I was too shy to throw myself into game development since I had no programming backgrounds, and had 4 years of soul-searching where i attempted a geological bachelor, got an Associate Degree in Water Management, and did small seasonal jobs like grapes picking, hotel housekeeper and Restaurant dishwasher. These experiences pushed me dare and start a new Associate Degree at the Lycée des Arts et Métiers in Luxembourg, where I struggled because of my utter lack of experience in programming, however thanks to my teachers and classmates I pushed through and am now proud to call myself a game programmer and a game designer.

I am now doing small passion projects mainly to get better at programming and designing, and to accumulate experience. I hope you will enjoy the games I have made down below, and if you are a recruiter in need of another game developer, please do not hesitate to contact me.
